Josephine Littleplume

Littleplume is named after my great grandmother Josephine Littleplume.  I am an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Nation and a Cree Nation descendant.  My tribes as my ancestors intended are Aamsskáápi Piikûni and Néhiyaw.  My mother was born and raised in Two Medicine on the Blackfeet Nation.   My father is Mexican/Spanish and Irish.  Although my mom was a single mom, I grew up surrounded by so much family.  Some of my favorite memories are of my uncle carving totem poles, my grandma hanging deer meat in the laundry room and my grandpa blasting powwow music.  However, with this richness, I also witnessed my family experience pain and struggle directly caused by historical events such as boarding schools, the Indian Relocation Act and numerous other historical events that are not taught in our history books.  True Native history must be sought out.  I hope to provide products that will inspire you to continue your path to truth.
